Visuals with Vision (VWV)

Visuals with Vision (VWV) in partnership with Oneline.ph calls for creative executions from amateur design enthusiasts and students using photography, illustration and graphic arts as a platform in promoting advocacy programs.

This year’s beneficiaries are forerunners in promoting Filipino Pride and supporting our local culture- The Outlooke Pointe Foundation, One Tama and Yabang Pinoy.

Interested individuals can submit as many entries per category. Only one winner per advocacy will win Php 20,000 worth of gifts and prizes and will be printed on the next advocacy campaign on YOCard. All submissions will be exhibited at Shangri-la Plaza Mall in September.

The mechanics of the competition are as follows:

1. Choose your foundation beneficiary. Read their theme brief at http://yocardonline.com/advocacy.asp?s=131
2. Design, shoot, illustrate for the advocacy you selected
3. Entries should be in CMYK, 300dpi and 6x4.25 inches in size
4. Sign up as a Creative at www.oneline.ph
5. Look for the Visuals with Vision badge and submit your work
6. Add your personal details and description of your work
7. Deadline of submission is July 31, 2010.

M Series Chair Collection

by: Yellow Diva

M Series Chair Collection, Comfort and Nobility

As described by Freshome

M Series comes from Australian company Yellow Diva with a specific European armchair style. We noticed that comfort is looked upon with a great deal of respect which is why these original looking chairs and sofas feature an upholstered 100% organic combed wool. This turns  interacting with the designs into a pleasant user experience. The solid oak legs and large buttons contribute to the style of the collection and add a definitive touch of nobility. The set can be integrated in a classic environment along with furniture items that are not too flashy. We like the creative shape of the designs, unmistakably a strong characteristic of this collection. -via Totonko

Light Reading by Lula Dot

Light Reading by Lula Dot

More books are printed every year, read and discarded. Even though many are taken to charity shops, they mostly go unsold and the charities have to pay for the books to be sent to landfill. For example 10,000 books a week from one charity will go to waste. There is currently no infrastructure set up to recycle the paper from books because the paper is low grade and the glue on the spine must be removed. These wasted books are used to create an attractive chandelier.”

“28 is a result of a glass blowing technique developed by Omer Arbel  whereby air is intermittently blown in and then sucked out of an  intermittently heated and then cooled glass matrix.”

Yellow Bloom Chair

by: Kenneth Cobonpue

Kenneth Cobonpue designed this new yellow micro-fiber chair. It looks different from his other signature designs but I'm sure it can liven up a dull space. The bold color can instantly create a statement in any room.
