Tertial Work Lamp from IKEA

As mentioned in our previous posting (Store Visit: IKEA in the Philippines?), here is the lamp that is looking like a logo of Pixar we bought in IKEA in Palanan, Makati.

This is looking really handsome. Its Magnesit base is heavy. About a kilo or two for sure. We paid 1500 pesos for it. We could have bought it by half the price but without its base. It just comes with a clip. But then a lamp with out the base? No deal!

It’s inevitable that we compared the price to what’s posted in ikea.com.sg website. As expected, it is a lot cheaper as it is for only $14.90 (SGD I assume). They did not mention that the Magnesit base is included though.

The price we paid for this is understandably higher than what’s on the IKEA′s website but going back to Singapore will cost a lot more, unless it’s for a scheduled holiday or official work, then we will be happy splurging on IKEA (and Sim Lim).

By the way, here is our very first pair of lamps we bought in IKEA in Singapore two years ago. We forgot how much we got it for but I remember we were excited coz these were on sale.

And talking about Singapore... paging Nathan DG… can you please get us a couple of Lint Rollers? We bought one similar to this but we like this IKEA Lint roller better. We′ll pay you when you′re here promise. hehehe... :)

Hi Abbie, the lamp really serves its purpose. But, depending on the wattage of the bulb that you are going to use, say, 25W is too bright unless if you are gong to use it for reading. But we use the 9W energy saving light as a mood lighting in our unit. Design wise, it really looks nice on computer desk or bedside table.

Hope i answered your question. Thanks for visiting our blog.:D

Ive got great news for you! hehe.

Ikea is not the only store/brand selling lint removers. Try looking for 3M Lint Roller from Ace Harware, True Value, Home Depots and Supermarkets. It works great. I think it is more expensive than Ikea's but it will take sometime before you finish one roll. Try comparing the contents. Maybe 3M has more sheets in a roll.
Refills are available as well.
