Before and After: Designing our Living Room

After 2 years of living in a studio unit condominium about 27 sq. ft., finally, we were able to find a better, bigger one (1) bedroom condominium. Lots of space (at least compared to our previous unit), bigger bathroom and best thing of all... a bedroom!

The dilemma is how to decorate our space. I′ve been reading some magazines, browsing the internet for some inspirational interiors and days of visiting home depots and furniture stores.

First thing we did was to paint the walls. We choose just two colors, the off-white and chocolate brown.





For our furnitures, we decided to purchase simple, clean, two-seater sofa and a chocolate-colored ottoman to match the accent wall.  Since the ottoman is a little big for the space, we decided to place it against the chocolate-colored wall to serve as another seating area.  Few accent pillows tie up the space.



Also added these artworks (I made it a few years ago) to break the dark wall. Looks perfectly nice in that area.

A lampshade, center table made of two stools and a few accents finished the area.

The chocolate brown wall used to be green, and other half of the same wall that runs through out the bedroom used to be blue. That used to feel like you are in a fastfood resto or barber shop!
